List of 20 Finalists????

OK, Today is 23January2012. Am I missing the list of 20 finalists?.....and by the way, will you be sending out emails announcing the list or do we need to continue to access the web site? If that is the case, will the list be on the Home Page with the White House video or on a different tab and again, if so, which tab?

    i thought maybe they would call us if we got in. that would be cool... but at this point ...

    the web site has not been updated in ages! still old stuff on there and no anticipation of the excitement... maybe the only excitement is with the folks who are waiting to see if their names are on the list...

    My number is 40 at the top of my submission. It is my understanding that we are not selected. I think the top 20 knows themselves. Is it a wrong assumption?

    i hope so. we haven't been notified and we're hoping to be in the Top 20. My Mom is ill and I told her if we don't get selected I'll be cranky so I won't visit you today! LOL

    This is not a very user friendly/informative web site. I go on my personal profile and it says "0" for submisisons which leads me to worry that my entry was not recieved though I submitted it 28Sept11, prior to the original deadline. Then I go on each profiles for those who have commented on my discussion and they too have "0" for submissions. Does anyone have an answer for this? And to Zekeriya, I don't see a number assigned to my entry so where do you find yours?

    Mine has always said 0 submissions and I completed it in October and they confirmed they had it. When I open mine the numbers keep changing. Today I'm number 291 out of 294 but if I click on next or previous it goes back to the home page. If you click on the Update tab last month they posted that the top 20 would be announced today the 23rd but did not say what time on the 23rd :( Also at the top of my page it says winners will be announced in 1 month. It is pural - I thought there was 20 "finalists" and one "Winner". This whole thing is causing lots of frustration, stress and confussion. The only thing that has been quick has been their responses to my email inquires - just wish the answers were clearer. If it is not posted by 1pm today EST I'm going to stop killing myself with wonder and just wait and see if I get notification I'm in the 20...

    At the top of the web page, There are three tabs.
    Dashboard New; Submissions; ZEKERIYA Y.(my page)
    Please click Submissions, and you will get a new page. Please look at the top of the new page, you will see numbers. For Example 40 out of 294.

    I heard the finalusts will get an email when their submissiobs are publushed. So if nithing is pyblushed you still have a chance.

    I just heard this from the challenge website support:

    Subject: Joining Forces Challenge

    Hi Patrick,

    Thanks for writing. The finalists have not yet been announced for the Joining Forces Community Challenge. I have spoken with the challenge managers and they hope to announce the finalists today. If you are a finalist, your submission will be published in the submission gallery. All finalists will receive an email stating that their submissions have been published. Many thanks for your patience.

    Thanks Patrick and I was told they would be published here http://www.whitehouse.gov/champions I don't see anything new there so I guess they have not do it yet.

    Patrick, that's where I heard it. You did a better job. I was on my iPhone and the spelling was also horrible! hahahahaha

    I share your frustration. I hope this confusion isn't a arbinger of what awaits us in the "judging" process. Good luck everyone and if some of us don't make the cut we are truly richer for having cared about our military.

    OK, it is now 24 January2012 and still unable to find a list of the 20 finalists. Just checked the White House web site as well as Joining Forces and I can't locate the list that was delayed until today. Am I missing something????

    I guess they have until 11:59pm Alaskan time zone (unless Hawaii is even later) to announce. The email I got said January 24th 2012 just not a time.........There must have had a lot of good ones to pick from if it is taking this long to reduce it to only 20........ and after almost 3 months since the submissions closed to pick 20 I'm hoping means that they are.... I don't know what I'm think other than I'm going to be so let down if mine is not one of them....... Good luck to everyone...

    Pins and needles city - for all those who work so hard to support our troops and their families - thank you!!!! Wish everyone good luck. I'd like to think we worked hard enough and had enough impact on the thousands of Warriors and their loved ones that we'd be in the finalists but who knows? We have no control over that. I wish they had done it in a more timely manner but we can't help that either. Anyway, good luck to all of you. I hope I meet you in the finalists summary!!!!

    Thanks Alan! I concur. Good luck to everyone here. We will be happy whether or not we make the cut. In some ways, I almost hope that we don't because that means some of you are doing even more to help our Military Families. God Bless the great work that everyone here is doing!

    There are many people waiting and wondering...will those who were not chosen as finalists also be receiving an e-mail so they will know a decision has been made? We have all worked hard to be a part of this, so we are eager to know the results. Thanks!

    I also want to wish everyone luck and just the fact that we have all stepped up and made a difference to the military and their families makes us all winners. I congratulate the top 20 whenever they get notification. I wish everyone continued success with all the great work you are doing
